The FIEDLER flow control and float valve plate of type FT01020639/1 or FT01020640 is a hydraulic component for the free floating of cylinders.

These floating valve plates are used wherever the cylinders need to float freely after reaching a certain position, for example in ship loading arms.

The oil flow is directed from P through the 4/3-way valve and the flow valve to the cylinder.
Once the cylinder reaches its target position, the 4/3-way valve can be switched, allowing it to move freely through its entire stroke. The float function can be engaged or disengaged at any position using the valve. During the float function, oil is transferred from one cylinder chamber to the other.
A control system that would otherwise take up a lot of space is implemented here in a very small space.

The flow control valves ensure the desired travel speed of the cylinders.
